What the Lions Workouts Tell us About Where they Stand:
The two workouts the Lions hosted this week tell us a couple of very important (and likely) facts, and also lead us to a couple of important assumptions. It also adds, or renews, a few questions:
Ben Bartch Workout
Likely Fact: The Lions will not be satisfied with their offensive line until they are 100% sure they have the right players in place. Given the performance of the line last year, I can see their concern (I list Bartch as OG2/OG3 given he could very well give Christian Mahogany a run for his money).
Assumption: One could easily assume Christian Mahogany is falling down the depth chart, and will need to earn an unquestioned spot
Question(s): What do the Lions think of Miles Frazier? Per Jeff Risdon of Detroit Lions Podcast, he can play Offensive Tackle: What do the Lions see Miles Frazier As?
D.J Wonnum Workout
Likely Fact: The Lions are kicking the tires on free agent edges to ensure the pieces they put in place are the right ones.
Assumption: One could easily assume the Lions plan to sign at least one edge before the draft given they have only two under contract (Three including Tyler Lacy, but I don’t have high hopes for him and currently don’t expect him to make the roster).
Questions(s): Are the Lions looking at starting level players at Edge or only looking at depth players? (It would be nice to land a starter, and draft a higher end edge to show a clear succession plan and more movement than we have seen in previous seasons)

Lacy should be a roster bubble guy
