NFL Draft - BigDahm Picks - Round Six

Ok, we’re getting to the bottom of the barrel here, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t quality players still available. I’ve now drafted offensive tackle, defensive end, safety, center, and tight end. However, I feel the defense still need to reload some, and I may have found the perfect player for this spot
With the Lions 6th Round Pick, I Select Andre Fuller, Cornerback Toledo.
We have three good starting corners in Reed, Arnold, and McCreary, but I would really like to see the Lions come out with a cornerback who can aid in spot duty and have starter upside. I think Andre Fuller is just that prospect. Per PFSN he is coming off of a great season with forty nine tackles, two and a half tackles for loss, an interception, and eleven pass breakups. He was first team All-MAC as well.
While he may not be able to do everything the Lions want him to do immediately, I think he will grow into it. He is young at ~21 years old (I couldn’t find a set age, so this is an estimate), and he has a great athletic profile. He also stands 6’1” and 200 pounds. He currently tackles well and can play the run as need be, and has some value in man coverage. I expect he would immediately impact special teams, and has the possibility to play ten to fifteen snaps a game depending on the opponent.
Adding a high upside cornerback further aids a Lions defense that has had some positive turnover this offseason. It’s almost a no brainer. What do you think? Feel free to comment and let me know! Let’s go Lions!

Toledo has quietly been developing some good talent, but they're always a risk cause it's hard to evaluate them vs lesser competition. But at this round the risk is non-existent.
