To be fair the center and TE are starters or much needed backups (given LaPortas back). I think they think the DE is a potential replacement for AQM given the athletic profile and schematic mismatch in some of his previous spots.
To be honest this has always been their approach. They fill holes with vets and depth and draft to fill holes. Tyleik last year, same with Penei, same with others. Not saying you or anyone has to like it, just an observation.
When they gonna start filling in the holes? They are signing reserves to back up empty starting positions.
